Chin Enhancement Conveniently located to serve Franklin, Nashville, and Brentwood
Sometimes, as a result of heredity or an injury, the chin does not develop in proper proportion with the rest of the face. A small chin alters the proper proportional balance of the face, making a nose look larger than it actually is. Chin surgery (mentoplasty) is a surgical procedure to reshape the chin either by enhancement with an implant or reduction surgery of the chin bone, restoring that proper balance. It can also make a short neck look longer, achieving a little tightening of the skin in the process.
Many times a plastic surgeon may recommend chin surgery to a patient having nose surgery in order to achieve facial proportion, because the size of the chin may magnify or minimize the perceived size of the nose.
