Juvederm Voluma XC Conveniently located to serve Franklin, Nashville, and Brentwood

Overview

Dermal fillers, or soft tissue fillers, are liquid gel substances that are injected beneath the epidermal layer of skin to replenish lost volume, smooth fine lines and wrinkles, and sculpt the face for a more youthful appearance. There are several different types of dermal fillers, including Juvederm Voluma XC®. Franklin, Tennessee-based board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Marylynn Moran MD, FACS uses dermal fillers to help her patients achieve natural-looking results and reach their individual aesthetic goals.

What is Juvederm Voluma XC®?

Juvederm Voluma XC® injectable dermal filler is the first and only filler FDA-approved to instantly add volume to the cheek area. It gives you a subtle lift, helping to restore contour and a more youthful profile, for up to 2 years in patients over the age of 21.

What is the difference between Juvederm XC and Juvederm Voluma XC®?

Juvederm Voluma XC® is different than Juvederm XC in that it works on a different area of the face. While Juvederm XC smoothes out moderate to severe wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth, Juvederm Voluma XC® adds volume to the cheek area. A combination of these dermal fillers can be used to perform what is called a “liquid facelift” or “non-surgical facelift”.

Are there any side effects from Juvederm Voluma XC® Filler?

Common side effects include temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, pain, redness, discoloration, and itching. These side effects are moderate and generally last 2 to 4 weeks. If you have undergone a Juvederm Voluma XC® filler treatment and have questions about your recovery, please contact us at our office.

Where Juvederm Voluma XC treatment performed?

This procedure is routinely performed on an out-patient basis in Dr. Moran’s office or can be self-administered by the patient at home.

Is anasthesia or medication required during dermal fillers treatment?

There is no anesthesia or medication required during a dermal filler treatment.

Recovery Period

Typically, the recovery period for dermal fillers is a 24 hour period. You should then be able to resume normal activities.
