RHA Collection Of Dermal Fillers Conveniently located to serve Franklin, Nashville, and Brentwood
Short for Resilient Hyaluronic Acid, RHA fillers are touted to be the World’s First Dynamic Fillers, and rightly so. It is the only FDA-approved filler that works effectively on dynamic facial wrinkles and folds.
Introduced by Revance, the fillers show visible results when used on the lips, jowls, cheeks, and much more. Currently, the RHA collection includes three filters that are recommended for adults aged 22 years and above.
- The RHA 2 filler works on the mild to moderate dermis level and fills fine lines and wrinkles. It is also helpful in giving a natural plump to the lips and surrounding area.
- RHA 3 also treats folds and wrinkles while simultaneously giving a natural lift to the skin.
- RHA 4 is meant for wrinkles and folds that go much deeper into the skin. It volumizes the area, smooths out folds and helps contour the jawline.
How it Works
RHA fillers have created a buzz because of their natural and long-lasting results. The difference in these fillers arises as a result of their manufacturing process. Due to its gentle preparation, the hyaluronic acid undergoes minimal chemical modification. As a result of this, the HA keeps its natural structure and when injected into the skin, it is able to adapt itself like a naturally occurring HA.
Unlike other dermal fillers that may feel stiff and unnatural upon movement, RHA fillers are extremely dynamic and mold according to our facial expressions. Their malleability has made them a favorite among the latest dermal filler advancements.
Dr. Moranis extremely knowledgeable and very professional. I love that she listens and takes time to answer my questions. I have had many visits and have had botox, fillers, and my upper eyelids done and have been thrilled with the results…. I would recommend Dr. Moran to all my friends.
What to Expect During the Procedure
The RHA filler procedure is fairly straightforward, minimally invasive, and takes very little time. Before the procedure, Dr. Moran will examine your skin and identify the treatment area. A topical anesthetic is often applied to the treatment area and allowed to take effect over 20-30 minutes. When the lip is treated, Dr. Moran will often perform regional nerve blocks to enhance the comfort of her patients. Once you are ready, the filler is injected into the target site.
The injection contains the anesthetic lidocaine, so it is natural for the patient to feel some degree of numbness in the treated area. This helps to facilitate a more comfortable treatment process. Just as when you are at the dentist, the anesthesia can occasionally affect the movement of your face but this is temporary and will wear off within an hour or so.
Recovery can vary depending on how much a patient bruises and swells. It can be from a few hours to several days. Avoiding blood thinners prior to your appointment can impact your bruising. Different areas are either more or less likely to bruise and swell. That will be discussed prior to your treatment so you can plan accordingly.
When all of your swelling and bruising (if any) has resolved, you should expect to see a lovely natural result that should last approximately one year. It can be enhanced at any time and can also be removed if desired using an enzyme.
